A bit late with the weekly summary this week due to being confined to quarters on doctor’s orders. 🙁 Antibiotics for a chest and sinus infection and feeling beyond miserable and in pain too. It hurt to breathe at the start of the week – that was not fun.
What started as a perfect week ended with a most unpleasant weekend. I thought I had a chesty cough on Thursday. However, it turned into a full-blown chest infection that spread to my sinuses by Saturday evening/Sunday morning. Needless to say, recovery miles did not happen on Sunday while I nursed my illness and felt sorry for myself. Confined to bed mostly, I couldn’t have run even if you lit a fire under me!
Still, despite the week’s ending, the key sessions were there. On top of that was a return to the weights in the gym. While the week’s target was 50-55 miles, I’ll happily take the 40 all things considered.
