Recovery was a huge problem this week following last week’s high mileage. Even leading with heart rate for the most part, I just didn’t get back to the level of freshness that I needed to be at before the weekend long run.
As I was feeling so fatigued during the week, I skipped the gym session. I don’t know if it was the right decision or not. However, the legs felt weakened and weighing up the situation, I didn’t want to risk buckling under a lift and doing silly damage ahead of the long run. Perhaps I should have swapped weights for the 5-mile run? Onwards!
