Not a great week for mileage but it didn’t have to be at the height of ‘off-season’. Health-wise things were a little below par and with my treadmill being out of action at the moment, the opportunity to hop on without any thought and squeeze in 10km was not an option.
Still, despite the lack of cumulative miles there were a couple of reasonable runs. Not pushing things and not being too slack either. Got to the gym also for the second time in a week which was good. Increased the squat load slightly and maintained control on the split squats, dropping back the weight a little in favour of avoiding the strained legs acquired by their reintroduction from the previous gym session. The real work steps up next week with the beginning of the ‘road to Tralee’.
