weekly summary: 20 Apr – 26 Apr
Another low-mileage week by design. I could get used to this! There have been single runs in the past that have outweighed this week’s combined total. I’m sure we’ll get there again.
A couple of nice sessions with a little focus on speed and my preferred quarter-mile efforts, as part of my normal sharpening routine coming into a race. That race will take place this week. Virtually of course. It will be a bit of fun and something to talk about afterwards online while we still can’t meet up as normal. I have no ambitions for time. It could be a complete write-off, trying to run on tarmac for the first time in over 7 weeks, and in a race for good measure. Sure what else would you be doing! 😁
Health-wise, I’ve been feeling a bit off-key in the last few weeks especially. A little concerned about stomach issues that I fear are present yet not fully presenting as an issue. Been to the doc this week for a chat which I did not do lightly given the times we are living in. Nothing obvious of course but at least a referral letter has been drafted and we’ll check back on bloods in the coming weeks. Hopefully nothing to worry about and worry alone is the bigger issue.
