
With the confirmation that the anniversary half is going to take place at the end of June, I have a target. I really want to just get out there and run the distance but the shape I’m in and the complete lack of fitness will make this a huge challenge if I’m honest.
I have a plan, running 3 times this week was the first step. Will repeat again next week and then build the mileage until eventually being able to run a 10-mile route. If I can’t run a 10-miler then there’s no point even trying to run the half. This isn’t about time; just getting myself back into some level of basic fitness.
